Questions

Everything guests ask before booking

Why is Suluada called the Turkish Maldives?
It is a nickname visitors use, not an official name — earned by the island's pale sand and the exceptional clarity of its turquoise water.
How long does the Suluada day take?
Around eleven hours with an early pickup — deliberately longer than a standard Side cruise, because the island lies much further along the coast.
How do we actually reach the beach?
The boat anchors a little way off the island, and small tender boats run guests to the bay and back throughout the stop.
What is served for lunch?
Grilled fish or chicken with rice or pasta, Turkish mezes and a seasonal salad, followed by fruit and Turkish tea; bar drinks cost extra.
Can I bring young children?
The minimum age is 6, though younger children may travel free of charge provided they are supervised on deck.
Is anything paid on the spot?
Reserving is free and the tour price is settled in euros on the day itself; extras such as the Adrasan breakfast or onboard photos are also paid locally.
Who can join the disco yacht night?
Guests aged 18 and over only — the cruise is designed as an adult party night, not a family outing.
Are the drinks unlimited all night?
Yes, standard drinks are free-flowing for the full four hours and snacks are included; premium drinks and additional food are billed separately.
Is transport from my hotel sorted?
Completely — pickup and return in air-conditioned vehicles are part of the package, so the night starts and ends at your hotel door.
What should I wear?
Comfortable, dance-friendly clothes and shoes work best, plus a light layer for when the sea breeze cools the deck.
When do I pay for the cruise?
Not at booking — reserving is free, the balance is settled in euros on the night itself, and you may cancel at no cost up to 24 hours beforehand.
Does bad weather change the party?
The programme may shift slightly with conditions, but the DJ, the shows and the party remain the core of the night.
Is the Side pirate boat tour suitable for toddlers and young children?
Yes — the whole day is designed around kids, with face painting, a treasure hunt and pirate games run by the animation team, and infants aged 0-3 sail free.
What do children eat on board?
The lunch menu is built for them: spaghetti, chicken fingers and fish fingers. Extra snacks and all drinks from the bar are paid separately.
Can parents join the games and the foam party?
Absolutely. The theme is aimed at children, but adults are welcome in every game, in the water at the delta swim stop and in the middle of the foam.
Where does the boat stop for swimming?
At the river delta, where the fresh water of the Manavgat meets the warm Mediterranean — a swim spot the kids remember, with cool river water and warm sea side by side.
How do I book, and what if our plans change?
Reserving online is free and the fare is settled in euros on the morning of the tour. Cancelling is free until 24 hours before you sail, and WhatsApp support covers English, German, Russian and Polish.
What should we pack for the pirate ship?
Swimwear and towels for everyone, hats and high-SPF sunscreen — the deck is in full sunshine for much of the day.
Is the Green Canyon tour a sea cruise?
No — it is an inland day on a freshwater reservoir behind the Oymapınar dam in the Taurus mountains, reached by road from Side.
Can you swim in Green Canyon?
Yes, the cruise makes two swim stops, and the mountain water is refreshingly cool and clear — pack a swimsuit, towel, sunglasses and strong sunscreen.
Why is there no music on the boat?
Loud music is never played on board so the canyon's peace and wildlife stay undisturbed — that quiet is the whole character of this tour.
Which hotels does this departure serve?
This is the Side departure: round-trip transfers in air-conditioned vehicles cover hotels in the Side area.
What about drinks?
Soft drinks are unlimited while you are on the catamaran; anything ordered at the restaurant during lunch is extra, and alcoholic drinks are not included at all.
How and when do I pay?
Reserve without paying anything, then settle in euros on the day of the excursion; free cancellation applies until 24 hours before the start.
Is the yacht really just for us?
Yes — the vessel is reserved exclusively for your group. Nobody else boards, and the crew shapes the day around what you want to do.
Can we decide where and how long we swim?
Absolutely. Tell the captain what you enjoy and the anchor drops in quiet coves for as long as you like — the pace is entirely yours.
Is food and drink included?
A freshly prepared lunch on deck is included. Drinks of any kind are not, and neither are optional water-sports add-ons or tips for the crew.
Do children sail free?
Infants up to 3 do; children aged 4–10 are charged at the reduced child rate and guests from 11 count as adults.
Where do you collect us?
Anywhere in the Kumköy and Side hotel area, in an air-conditioned vehicle, with the return drop-off included after the charter.
When is payment due?
Not at booking — reserving is free. The balance is settled in euros on charter day, with free cancellation up to 24 hours before.
What can we decide ourselves on the day?
Within the cruising area, nearly everything: the swim stops, the anchor spots, how long you linger anywhere and the music on board.
Is food part of the charter?
Yes — a freshly cooked lunch with fish, chicken or meatballs plus mezes and salads is served on board; every kind of drink is charged separately.
Can dietary requirements be handled?
Usually yes, if you flag them early — the lunch menu can be adjusted to your boat choice and your group's needs.
Is hotel transfer included?
Not automatically. An optional air-conditioned transfer can be added from Kumköy, Evrenseki, Kızılağaç and nearby areas, or you can reach the boat on your own.
How far ahead should we book?
As far as you can — these boats go out on request only, so dates need confirming well in advance; you can still withdraw free of charge up to a day beforehand.
What sets the final price?
The category of wooden boat or yacht you choose and how many people sail with you; route extensions beyond the standard itinerary are quoted on top.
Is Green Canyon actually on the sea?
No. It is an inland reservoir behind the Oymapınar Dam, up in the mountains near Manavgat. You cruise on still freshwater, not the Mediterranean.
How long does the Belek departure take?
Roughly eight hours in total, including the air-conditioned drive from your Belek hotel to the reservoir and back again.
Can we swim during the cruise?
Yes — the boat anchors in sheltered corners of the lake where you can climb in. The water is clear and far cooler than the sea, which in July and August is the whole point.
What is included in the ticket?
The transfer from Belek, the cruise itself, a grilled lunch on board, guide assistance and boat insurance. Drinks, fishing and photo services cost extra.
Do children pay full price?
Not until age eleven: infants up to three go free and children between four and ten travel on the reduced rate.
When do I pay?
Euros change hands only when the canyon day comes around; the reservation itself is free, and backing out costs nothing as long as you give a day's notice.
What age group is the Little Pirates cruise best for?
It suits families with younger children: kids aged 4-10 pay the reduced child rate, infants up to 3 travel free, and everyone from 11 up counts as an adult.
Are pirate costumes really provided?
Yes, every child gets one on boarding, and you are welcome to pack your child's own outfit instead if they have a favourite.
Do parents have to stay with their kids?
Yes — this is a shared family day rather than a drop-off activity, so parents remain with their children for the whole cruise.
Is there time to swim?
The boat makes swimming and snorkelling stops in clear, calm water along the coast, so pack swimwear, towels, sunscreen and a hat.
What does the trip cost to reserve, and can we cancel?
Reserving is free — you pay in euros on the day itself, and cancelling up to 24 hours in advance costs nothing.
Is food included?
Lunch and soft drinks are served on board at no extra charge; only additional beverages, tips and personal purchases are paid separately.
How is this different from the Green Canyon tour from Antalya?
The lake and the boat day are the same — what changes is the pickup belt. This departure collects guests in Kumköy and the surrounding resorts, so the transfer is shorter and the whole day takes about seven hours.
Is the canyon water warm enough to swim in?
It is cool all year round — noticeably colder than the sea — and most guests find that the best part on a hot day. Swimming is always optional; the deck views are worth the trip alone.
What will we see besides the lake?
Towering rock formations, pine-clad cliffs, the dam itself and the floating cages of working trout farms tucked along the gorge.
What lunch is on board?
A freshly grilled lunch served on deck in the open air. Drinks and any tea-garden stops along the way are extra.
Can toddlers come along?
Yes — the pace is family-friendly. Infants up to 3 join free of charge and children aged 4–10 travel at the reduced child rate.
When do I actually pay?
Payment happens on tour day itself, in euros. Holding your places in advance is completely free, and you can back out at no cost until 24 hours beforehand.
How many hours does the Evrenseki Green Canyon trip take?
Plan for roughly 4.5 to 5 hours door to door, transfers included. It is deliberately a half-day format, so your morning or afternoon stays free.
Where exactly do we swim?
The catamaran pauses twice out on the reservoir so you can climb down and swim in open freshwater. It is mountain-fed and noticeably cooler than the sea.
Is the fishing really included?
Yes — rods and tackle are kept on board and using them costs nothing extra. Whether the fish cooperate is another matter.
What does the price cover?
Hotel transfer from Evrenseki, the catamaran cruise, both swim breaks, fishing gear, the buffet lunch, a guide and travel insurance. Drinks are the main thing you pay for on site.
What do children pay?
Infants up to age three ride free and children aged four to ten get the reduced child rate; from eleven, the adult price applies.
How do reservation and payment work?
Reserve online for free and hand over the euros only once your catamaran day arrives; up to 24 hours beforehand you can call the whole thing off at zero cost.
Why is Suluada called the Maldives of Turkey?
It is a nickname locals and visitors use, earned by the island's white-sand seabed and unusually vivid turquoise shallows — not an official title, but you will see the point immediately.

Around eleven hours from hotel pickup to drop-off. The route runs by road to Adrasan harbour and continues by boat to the island.

Is Green Canyon on the sea?
No. It is an inland lake — the reservoir behind the Oymapınar Dam in the Taurus mountains — so the water is calm, fresh and green rather than salty.

An open buffet with grilled chicken, fresh salads and seasonal fruit. Drinks are ordered separately on board.
Can we swim, and how warm is the water?
Yes — the cruise includes swimming stops in sheltered coves. The lake stays refreshingly cool even in high summer, so pack a towel and a light layer.

A lake — the reservoir behind the Oymapınar Dam, filled by mountain springs. That spring water is what gives it the famous emerald colour.

How big can our group be?
From a small family right up to about fifty guests — and no matter the number, nobody outside your group comes aboard.
Is there food on the gulet?

Can we bring our own alcohol?
One bottle of spirits may come aboard with you; everything else comes from the gulet's own bar.
Can we decorate the boat for a celebration?
Yes, as long as you ask in advance — deck decoration is set up before your charter day, not on the morning itself.

What do we pay and when?
Nothing at booking — the charter is settled in euros on the day, and you can call it off free of charge up to 24 hours ahead.
Can we time the cruise for sunset?
Yes — on request the programme moves later so the return leg runs at sunset. A light jacket earns its place on evening sailings.
What food is served on board?
Lunch or dinner, depending on your timing, with the menu agreed between us before the day rather than picked from a fixed list.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The captain decides on safety grounds: your cruise is postponed to another day or cancelled with nothing to pay.

Not remotely. The captain provides hands-on help from baiting to reeling in, and the trip is explicitly suited to complete beginners as well as experienced anglers.
What gear do I need to bring?
None — professional tackle, lines and fresh bait are all supplied. Pack a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and a camera for your proudest catches.
Is food included on the fishing trip?
A light Turkish breakfast of simit and hot tea is complimentary. Lunch is not included: bring your own food and cold drinks if you wish, or buy drinks on board.
Why does the trip start so early?
Dawn light gives the best fishing and a gentle sunrise over the Mediterranean. You are collected from your hotel early and returned the same day.

It is deliberately the opposite of a party boat: no loud music, no crowding, a reserved sunbed for every single guest and a slow, quiet rhythm from harbour to harbour.
Are alcoholic drinks really included?
Yes — both soft and alcoholic drinks come with the tour, alongside the open-buffet lunch. Only tips, photo services and extra private requests sit outside the price.

It is one of the calmest boat days on this coast: most of the cruising happens on the sheltered, slow-moving river. The boat heads briefly to open water for the foam party.
What should I wear for the Grand Bazaar?
Modest is the local norm — covered shoulders will have you dressed like everyone else. Comfortable shoes help too, because the market is enormous.

Is there a vegetarian lunch option?

Where are the swimming stops?
The boat pauses twice, at the bays of Kızılot and Boğaz, both clear and calm — ideal for a proper swim rather than a quick dip.
Is eight hours too long for children?
Most families find the opposite: swim breaks, the foam party and the onboard activities break the day into short, easy chapters for every age.
How do booking and cancellation work here?
You reserve free of charge and settle in euros on the day; cancel up to 24 hours beforehand and nothing is owed. Our WhatsApp line helps in four languages.
Will we definitely see dolphins on this tour?

Is lunch part of the package?

Which day does the tour run?
Only on Manavgat's market days — the bazaar keeps a strict calendar. Ask for the next available date when you book.
How do I pay for the tour itself?
There is no online payment step at all — the booking is free, euros are handed over on market day, and you can pull out at no charge with 24 hours' notice.

Yes — on the return leg the crew turns up the music and the foam comes out. Dance in the middle of it or watch the chaos from the sun deck; both count as taking part.

Is lunch included?

Which hotels do you collect from?
Hotels in Kumköy and the nearby resorts along the Side coast. Your pickup slot is confirmed after booking and can move slightly with sea conditions.

Adults count from 11, children 4–10 pay the lower child fare, and infants to 3 sail free. Everyone pays in euros on the day, with free cancellation up to 24 hours before.
Will we definitely see sea turtles at Caretta Bay?
They are wild animals, so nobody can promise an appearance — but the bay is their home water, and lucky guests do spot one surfacing near the boat.
When is lunch served?
The crew cooks it fresh during the delta swim stop and serves it on deck; it is already part of your ticket.
Is the foam party at the start or the end?
At the end — it fires up on the cruise back to the harbour, so the quiet river morning and the party afternoon never get in each other's way.

Many guests never leave the deck: sunbathing, scenery and music fill the hours, and life jackets are on hand if you fancy a careful dip.
Do children get a discount?
Yes: under-fours cruise free, four-to-tens pay the child fare, and the adult rate starts at eleven.
What happens with payment?
Reserving is free of charge, and the euros are due on sailing day itself; should plans shift, you have until 24 hours before departure to cancel without cost.

Is food included on board?
A freshly cooked lunch is served during the cruise. Soft drinks, beer and cocktails come from the bar at your own expense.
Can I join if I don't swim?
Yes — the swim bays are optional and the deck programme fills the day. Only guests with serious mobility limitations are advised to sit this one out.
Which hotels are picked up?
Central Alanya hotels are covered by the round-trip transfer. Resorts far along the coast fall outside the standard zone — message us your hotel name first.
What do kids pay, and can I cancel?
