Your hotel narrowed this down: sixteen days against one
Almost nobody picks a coast and then a hotel; it happens the other way round. So the useful question is not which shore is prettiest — they are all the same warm, clear Mediterranean — but what your own base can put in front of you, and whether anything worth crossing the region for is missing from its list.
Thirty-four boat days sit very unevenly along this shore. Sixteen work out of the Side area, eight out of Alanya, six along the Antalya and Kumköy stretch, three from Belek and exactly one from Kemer. That imbalance, not scenery, is what actually separates the five bases: a long list lets you match a boat to your group, a short one hands you the day it happens to have.
Side is where the fleet lives. Every shape of day we sell leaves from there — pirate galleons, a quiet relax concept, the emerald canyon lake, the long island run, a river-and-bazaar day, a fishing morning, a night yacht and private charters. If you would rather decide by mood than by availability, Side is the base that allows it, and a full day out of Side starts at the lowest fare on the coast, matched only by Alanya.
Alanya is the second-widest with eight days, running from a galleon under the castle rock to nine-hour days, two of them inland. The Antalya and Kumköy stretch has six, and it is the only place other than Side that sends a boat to Suluada. Belek has three, and they are usefully unlike each other: a sea galleon, a canyon lake and a river-and-market day. Kemer has one full-day cruise, and that is the whole list — a fine day, but not a decision.
What the transfer circle means for the coast you pick
Every shared day here is quoted with a round-trip hotel transfer, and each boat draws that circle around its own resort rather than around the coast. That is the one transfer fact a coast decision needs: a boat from a neighbouring coast is not obliged to come and find you, and hotels outside its ring are treated as a request rather than a promise. Belek needs one plain sentence. The Alibaba galleon is sold as a Belek day and its transfer genuinely runs from Belek and nearby resorts, but the sea it shows you is the Belek and Antalya coastline, and the coach leg is longer than the map suggests. There is nothing wrong with that day; it simply means Belek's sea day is spent on water it shares with its neighbours. The other two Belek departures do not go to sea at all: they head inland to the Manavgat river and to the canyon lake.
How long each base keeps you out
Side and the Antalya coast both stretch to eleven hours, because both send a boat to Suluada, and Side alone runs a ten-hour river-and-bazaar day. Alanya tops out at nine hours on three of its trips. Belek's longest is eight, on the canyon lake. The single Kemer cruise runs seven, which is the length most of this coast settles on.
At the short end only two coasts are in the conversation. Side and Alanya each run a four-hour evening disco yacht, and Side alone adds the canyon catamaran from Evrenseki, which the record puts at roughly four and a half to five hours. Everywhere else, booking a boat means committing the day.
Is it worth crossing to another coast?
Usually not, and for an unglamorous reason: the road time you would be adding is already paid for inside the price of the boat at your own base. Crossing earns its keep in one case only — when your coast does not sell the kind of day you actually came for.
If you are in Kemer and you want the canyon lake, or in Belek and you want the island run or the relax concept, you are adding a long road day on top of a long boat day. That is a real cost measured in holiday, not in euros, and it is the one situation where the cheaper ticket is not the cheaper day.
Good to know
- Your own coast's boat already carries the transfer, and it starts at your hotel door.
- Short road time in both directions — the gap matters most with young children on board.
- If weather moves your date, you have not spent a holiday day travelling to the wrong harbour.
Worth considering
- A small base sells you what it has: three days from Belek, one from Kemer.
- The rarer days — the island run, the relax boats, the night yacht — do not leave from every coast.
- The nearest comparable day is not automatically the cheapest one on the list.
The five coasts, side by side
The fare column is the cheapest adult price on each coast's shared list, and the hours column is the longest single day that base offers. The transfer column repeats what each coast's headline boat actually documents, because that is the line people skip and then argue about.

Once the coast is settled
After that, the paperwork is identical wherever you sail from: nothing is taken from a card at the point of reserving, your pickup is agreed with you afterwards, and the fare is handed over on the day itself.
