Quick answer

An eleven-hour expedition to Suluada — the island Turks nickname the Maldives of Turkey — with hotel pickup from Antalya, a cruise out of Adrasan, white-sand swim coves and a grilled lunch on deck.

Highlights

  • Relax on the sun deck past pine-clad cliffs and hidden inlets you can't reach by road
  • Enjoy a freshly grilled lunch served on deck as you sail
  • Anchor in sheltered coves including calm Domuz Bay and the island's twin beaches
  • Swim and snorkel in dazzling turquoise water over white sandy seabeds
  • Cruise from Adrasan to Suluada, the island nicknamed the Maldives of Turkey

About this boat day

People call Suluada the Maldives of Turkey, and one look at the water explains why: over the pale sandy seabed it turns a shade of turquoise the mainland simply does not produce. The uninhabited island lies off Adrasan, down the coast from Antalya, and can only be reached by boat.

This is the long, worthwhile version of an island day — around eleven hours door to door. Pickup covers central Antalya as well as Kemer and Beldibi, the road follows the coast to Adrasan, and from there the boat takes over, cruising past pine-clad cliffs and inlets no road has ever reached.

The anchor drops in a string of sheltered coves — calm Domuz Bay and the island's twin beaches among them — for swimming and snorkelling, with masks and pool floats already on board. A grilled lunch is served on deck, and an experienced local crew runs the whole day.

Who this trip suits

Confident swimmers get the most out of the clear water, but non-swimmers are genuinely welcome — plenty of guests spend the anchor stops happily on deck. Wear flat, non-slip shoes for moving around the boat, and note that fishing gear can be hired on board as an optional extra.

Seats are held with no deposit at all: you pay in euros on the morning of the trip, cancellation costs nothing up to 24 hours ahead, and our WhatsApp line answers in English, German, Russian and Polish.
